  • Ang ID ko ay parang…

    2

    avatarven3

I wish that had been the one on my Company ID.  Let’s see it in action, against the one I actually have.

venid3I really think the 2nd one fits my image at the office (haha go figure). By the way, my 2 officemates last friday were telling me about fielding questions from certain bank employees asking them if they worked for BITAG (The show by the Tulfo Brothers), and yes I was laughing my ass off at the uncanny similarities -> Font, CHECK. Black Background, CHECK. Suspicious looking photo, CHECK! So I guess I can start using my “bitag authority” to tigbak certain people. harharhar.

Saw my “Tita” last friday (watched InkHeart – twas a family fun adventure/fantasy movie).

and lastly, in this lackluster blog post of mine, a quote to get us by this coming work week.

“Bad things are always going to happen in life. People will hurt you. But you can’t use that as an excuse to fail or to hurt someone back. You’ll only hurt yourself.”

Have a great work week ahead! :)

  • IncrediBOL Week

    3

It’s been an incredible week I tell you.

After being so down in the dumps the last few weeks – existential/career issues y’all(kids who can’t wait to grow up? WAIT.) and resolving to just settle issues after Christmas, the All Mighty One decided to sprinkle pixie dust my way and wadayaknow? I have something awesome and exciting waiting for me this thursday! whoopee. I can’t really say anything as of now coz I’m still tied up to certain situations. In the meantime, let’s keep it at this – I’ll be playing my favorite game more often these days – and no, not mind games.

Cell, Drei & I went to the Ice Cream Bar in Joya Tower, Rockwell the other week and tried to conquer the ice cream buffet. Cell, the ever chismoso, asked the waiter just how much scoops has anyone been able to consume and he answered 19. Now, with all our might, empty stomachs, and 2 hours of eating, we tried to beat the record but came up short – drei had 12, cell had…10/11, I had 9. Drei says you gotta be mentally prepared. My guess is that the record holder was depressed.

    and the winner is.... andrei!

Although Christmas starts when the BER months come in, it didn’t officially start for me up until the Berks Xmas Party. W00T! Taking a cue from Kuya Germs’ That’s Entertainment, we decided to use the names of the various talents of Kuya Germs as codes for our babies. I got Chuckie Dreyfuss – who turned out to be JC, and I turned out to be Lotlot de Leon. Guess who Ramon Christopher was? Drei of course. Love team forever! woo! More pictures at my multiply site.

It’s been a good week – I’m looking forward to greater days to close 2008. Hope you’re done Christmas Shopping!:)

  • Tag!

    3

This is from Joyce :) Natuwa ako, hehe.

Let me just explain: I was in the middle of listening to a video tutorial – listening, not watching coz I was blog hopping while “educating” myself. Buti na lang naligo ako mga an hour ago or else “oily bruhilda” ang makikita nyo sa picture.

    The rules:

    1. Take a picture of yourself right NOW!. (hahaha tlagang NOW!)
    2. DON’T change your clothes, DON’T fix your hair… Just take a picture.
    3. Post that picture with NO editing.
    4. Post these instruction with your picture.
    5. Tag 10 people to do this.
    6. No more number six, lucky you.

(Me watching/listening to a video tutorial)

    I’m tagging these 10 people…because… I can. Labo!

  • Globe Telecom: Style Nyo Bulok!

    4

I’m sure I’m not the only who has experienced this. I’ve been receiving “wrongly sent text messages” lately, imploring me to text Treats 2346.

    globe telecom sucks

    fakery

Dba? Globe Telecom, STYLE NYO BULOK. I am so pissed at this style of marketing coz first, I don’t like unknown people texting me, and 2nd, ang obvious na sila ang nagsend!

Sana man lang they were transparent enough to just write there na it came from GLOBE instead of having some random number text me early in the morning (sorry 10:58 am is early for me)!! and what made me really say na style nila bulok kasi 2nd time na toh! Buti kung 1 time na wrong send, but 2nd time and different names pa?? WTF!!

I know there are a lot of idiots in the world, but did they really have to pander to the stupidity around us? Are they setting the stage for the supremacy of idiots in Manila? But I digress.

And really, do people text that way nowadays? If asked, my version would be: “Shayna, nanalo si ganito ng dinner sa Le Souffle, try mo magtext “Treats” sa 2346, baka makalibre tayo haha!”, but who am I to Globe? I’m just one of their millions of subscribers lang naman.

Next Rant, still Globe Related - I’m a regular visitor of pep.ph and what I hate most on the site aside from disabling a few certain functions (which I completely understand except when I try to open a new tab, they still won’t allow it – haller, that’s my fucking browser!), is this ad from Globe.

    nakakaasar

    nakakaasar

    Why I hate it:

    1.  Every time I open a link, I’d hear this freakish scream from the ad even if my mouse didn’t hover on their ad – hello!? I’m already subjected to their “wrong send text messages”, and I still have to endure that freakish scream and that slap-you-in-the-face ad on Pep! WTF!!! Internet marketing? More of Heart Attack Marketing!

    2. Considered a pop up and I hate pop ups. Haven’t they learned? This certain pop up, although not on a different window, interferes with my browsing and anything that interrupts a person’s web browsing is considered BAD! According to Jakob Nielsen,  ”In a survey of 18,808 users, more than 50% reported that a pop-up ad affected their opinion of the advertiser very negatively and nearly 40% reported that it affected their opinion of the website very negatively.” (so pep, although I like all that chixmas, it’s making me hate you).

Globe, I understand your need to advertise, but there are other LESS annoying ways to get your message across! Look for a Globe Evangelist – start with them, contact bloggers who are Globe subscribers, check out what is being said about you in social media, create more compelling & engaging ads that don’t interfere with a person’s web browsing experience, be transparent and know that the ways you’ve been advertising on the Internet (save for 1 marketing effort) are antiquated!

    Calling Globe Marketing!!!

    Globe Telecom

    Abutin nyo muna subscribers nyo!
