I’ve been itching to go here since first, this is probably the closest I’ll be to the ocean, and 2nd, I need a bit of peace and looking at aquariums has been proven to calm and reduce stress.

Cost – Adults P400, Kids P350 (those under 2 feet or babies get in for free)
What I Loved About It
- I’m sorry but it doesn’t look like it belongs in Manila haha! Ang ganda nya!:) It makes me proud.
- It’s bigger than the one in Sentosa alright and in my unverified opinion, Manila Ocean Park has more variety of fishes. And the area called Laot (fishing grounds) was just beautiful.
- The merienda buffet in that nice restaurant at the 2nd floor (ack! i forgot what it’s called)
- It’s like scuba diving/snorkeling - only you don’t get wet:)
- The activity area for kids (very educational – and fun for both adults and kids too!)
- The numbering system when buying tickets! (hassle lang yung babaeng nauna sa min, kasi dagdag bawas yung tickets, di nya mafinalize kung ilan! haller…)
What I didn’t like about it
- MGA PINOY tlaga, sabi nang NO Flash Photography but Nooo, feeling paparazzi! Hands off na nga hawak pa din ng hawak sa mga shark.. sana tlaga literal na hands off eh! tipong mini-jaws moment. kainis eh dba? When will Pinoys begin to read AND FOLLOW rules.
- Everyone was taking pictures along the underwater tunnel. Nakakaasar coz you couldn’t walk or appreciate it properly. I’m not sure if it was in Hongkong or Singapore na they had a conveyor for that area.
Recommendations
- Visit on a weekday.
- Follow rules.

So did I get destressed after the trip? Yes, despite the pasaways. I think I spent a good 10 mins just staring at this lapu-lapu that was oddly also looking my way. Thinking of going back again, but only on a weekday!:) Guys, I encourage you to visit and support Manila Ocean Park. They’re still in the process of developing other areas so watch out for it.

yes, visit on weekdays. or, if there’s no other choice but to go on a weekend, go sometime after 4pm. there are fewer people lining up. they’re open til 7pm, so there’s enough time to go around.
