“Mankind is Noodlekind” – Happy Anniversary Instant Noodles!

50 years and counting! Note: the official date is Aug 25, 1958.
Don’t you just love a steaming cup of noodles on a cold dreary monday morning? It sustained me throughout highschool and college – a staple on my office cabinet, and something we stock by bags at home. Since my dad works in the food industry and one of his main clients is a noodle company, I can definitely say, “binuhay ako ng noodles!!”.
You know what’s truly inspiring about instant noodles? The inventor of Ramen/Noodles created instant ramen at the age of 48, and cup noodles at 61. So I guess there’s no need to rush and try to find my niche in the world eh?
And so when you open that pack of Lucky Me!, Maggie or any local brand ,you can get your hands on, drop the dried noodles in a pot of boiling water, remember – you’re one lucky son-of-a-gun who was able to experience the magic of noodles – something our ancestors can’t brag about.
(By the way, how do you cook yours? Do you drop it in boiling water, or just put it in prior to boiling? Let me know. Is there a science to it?)
