A South girl since birth, but I’ve only managed to cruise the streets of BF Pque lately (well if they had given me a sticker before, I would have had the chance to do so…hurray to the friendship sticker).
Aside from the restaurants populating president’s ave (dominated by korean joints), one of the best things about bf pque are the SPAs!! I am addicted to massages (the not so expensive ones though) and I’ve been to 3 in BF, namely TonTon’s (thai massage), Azule Spa, and the latest, Zensai Spa.
Aesthetically – the entrance (red paint? ugh, hardly relaxing) wasn’t so pleasing but basing their theme from Japan/Zen, they decided to take the red dot from the Japanese flag and use the color all over the reception area. The receptionist was nice, recommended a few treatments to first timer me. They asked me to sign a waiver form/medical conditions table and I said I had back problems but won’t have any problems doing stretching exercises (thai massage/reflexology).
A quick glance at their services and you’ll decide they’re not so expensive – a swedish/shiatsu massage costs P380 for an hour, while their twin treatments (for example, body scrub+massage) would only cost around 950+ – not bad for what lies beyond the reception door…
… which brings me to the mini-cabanas which were a treat to the eyes. Airconditioned, with aromatic scents wafting in the air. Only drawback was because of the proximity to the road and the openness of the area, you can sometimes hear tricycle sounds above the soothing meditative muzak.

who wouldn’t want to have a massage there (the cabanas have sliding doors made of capiz for further privacy)?
I had their signature massage, a combination of swedish, shiatsu and reflexology. The attendant Maricel was awesome! She was very careful and respectful (ma’am, may i massage your face?) and she knew just how much pressure I could take. I think I dozed off for 10 minutes, and woke up to wonderful hands massaging my foot.
4 Stars! Definitely going back (and I left my earrings so I have to get back – they texted that I had left them – plus points).
