been getting so many stupid stupid text messages from scammers who’re asking for load, claiming familial ties “abroad” (i did the unthinkable – i replied with “kakarmahin ka din” which I highly discourage because it’ll only prompt them to flood you with text messages from different numbers) .

first of all, I do not have relatives in the US/Canada or wherever who would text me in the middle of the day and ask for load.. and I don’t really text my relatives abroad… using my phone nor do they text me using theirs… we use chikka!

2nd, I abhor text speak “d2 na aq”. annoys the hell out of me.

and 3rd, I’ve reported you to Globe (I’m not really sure if they’re doing ANYTHING to stop this nonsense – I mean they have customers getting scammed – mostly the oldies who don’t know any better).

it gets weirder…. the last few days, I’ve been getting phone calls from certain numbers and every time I answer, it just hangs up. Not just one number but similar looking numbers.  I have 3 theories:

1. Aliens out to get me! but why? I’m not exactly the poster child for my kind you know.

2. Possibly related to the people behind those “roaming” numbers.

3. Marketing tactic of this site: http://whocallsme.com. They make weird phone calls to everyone. Receiver googles the exact number and ends up on their site – bingo! traffic and a possible click on a google ad = $$$
